I refuse to send this thing off to gateway again... Last time it was a bad motherboard and fan.

Is it going to void my warranty fixing this issue myself and how hard is it to get to the left speaker?

Am I the only one with this kind of luck with this laptop? I don't play music loud, don't play games on it, just use it for typical browsing... what gives...

Another issue I've had every since I put win7 on my laptop is when I either hit (restart) or the laptop does because of an update.. It doesn't shut all the way off, the screen goes black and the media buttons stay lit and the laptop is still running. I have to hold the power button down and manually shut it off, then boot it back up.

Anyone else have this problem? Know a fix?

thanks for that... I swear i went in and changed the sound quality of the speakers in the advanced settings to the highest rating and tinkered around for awhile with all the settings and Also i noticed the body wasn't all the way closed around the LEFT speaker from when i got it back from repair.. After all this my speaker seems to be sounding normal..

I wish there was some better quality speakers we could purchase to put in this thing.. I mean i know you can always use external speakers but I keep mine at my coffee table and that would just be TOO much
