hi all I was wondering if you anybody could help me out here:

I have a C-142xl tablet, and I seem to be having some very annoying video card troubles. the laptop is running vista, and has an ATI mobility radeon HD 2300.

My video card seems to crash my computer periodically. what happens is that the screen spontenously turns completely pixelated/garbagy, which is followed by a BSOD that displays very briefly (as in not even long enough for me to snap a pic of it), and then my computer resets itself. I find this very annoying and I don't know what to do to fix the problem. I notice that this happens more frequently when using more graphically intense applications (it has happened quite frequently while playing WoW), but even happens sometimes when doing things like watching video on youtube or drawing in photoshop. I find this especially odd because I know this video card can more than handle the games/apps I'm running, as it runs WoW at 60 FPS as well as photoshop without any lag, and it runs completely smooth, until it up and crashes all of a sudden.

I have no idea how to fix this, I have tried to update my graphics drivers to the most currently version, but my computer still acts anal and crashes anyway. So I have no idea what else I should do to try and fix it.

is anyone else having this problem, and does anybody have any suggestions for what I can do to fix this. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

It's probably too late a response to this, but oh well.

One possibility is that the graphics chipset is overheating, resulting in a restart to prevent it from frying. See if you can play WoW in a cooler environment, like a basement to see if it resets itself after a period of time. If it doesn't crash, then it's definitely overheating. Also, make sure that the vents are not being blocked in any way.
