Since prices for the SSD is still up, has anyone tried this neat little contraption yet on the Gateway? The draw-backs would be the limited amount of read/write on the Compact Flash and of course the size. Since I have put 4GB of SO-DIMM in I will be disabling Page File, just to reduce amount of Read/Write. Anyone else try this yet? Addonics and a few Ebay stores sell these thing from $5 - $37.

I bought some cheap adapters off of ebay, and it is something I will never do again. I paid ~$30 for a few, and none of them worked.

Supposedly the Chinese made ones aren't that good. I opted for the Addonics version, hopefully I can reply back with a success story.
