I have the P-6831 and recently upgraded the CPU to a T7500. I updated my experience score and it correctly displays the correct CPU. However when I checked my device manager it said I still have the T5450 installed. I tried updating the driver and nothing happened. Is this common to those who installed new CPU's? If not is there anyway to fix this?

I wouldn't worry about it really. Theres no driver for a CPU. Just right click on my computer, goto properties and confirm that it says T7500 @ 2.2ghz and your set.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, it's not a huge deal I guess. I ran my 3dMark06 scores and they jumped up to 8900 from 7100 so I'm pretty sure things are running the way they are supposed to.

Mine did the same thing . If you want device manager to show the correct cpu right click on either of the 2 cpu's shown and select uninstall, it will ask you to reboot. after the reboot it will show the correct cpu .. :)

Boot in safe mode and delete the CPU entry from device manager.

    Reboot.

The system will redetect the CPU and show the correct processor.
