Quick question. I bought this laptop locally from a guy who bought it from Tigerdirect. If I return it to tigerdirect, will he be refunded or I?
I don't care if I lose $250.00. I have had it trying to install BF2, patch 1.41 and Project Reality and Armed Assault.
I just want to get rid of it and get some of my money back. I paid $1000.

Do you have the reciept? usually they can only refund it back to the original purchaser...

In your situation, best bet is to either sell it on eBay or Craigslist (if you prefer to deal locally).

best bet is to sell it on ebay... you will get back at least around 950 if you sell in on ebay.

You can not return it to TD. You must be the original purchaser. May I ask why you wish to return it?

nope for personal there are charges as well... unless its paid thru instant transfer, echeck and etc...

for flynnaire ( my seller) he had a premier account, so he got deducted a lower amount for all, therefore, I had to compensate him..

    paypal is so confusing now

hehe Ebay...I have bought a few things from ebay but never sold. So I tried today with your suggestions and it was a hassle. Confirmation number didn't work. I went on live chat with ebay, and they told me I needed to set up a seller's account.
I tried posting in the marketplace and the mods removed it because I dont have 20 post, yet I have been a reader for years  what can I say , I'm a reader...not a poster lol.
I really dont want to sell it but the only reason I bought it was for two games, Battlefied2 PROJECT Reality MOd( i hate vanilla Bf2) and armed assault.
Bf2 rocks and max settings without being patch, however I cant patch it. Armed assault, vertex shader error? ...is that.
Everything else runs perfect, COD4 , Left 4 Dead, Crysis (med), vBF2

SZER, what does paypal charge if I sell in a forum? how does that work? enlighten me please. Like I said , I never sold anything online.

That is a LAME reason to sell a great computer AND take a financial hit.

No.1, your problems are software, try resolving them. There is no reason that ARMA and BF2 should not work. I don't know what you tried and what you didn't try, but there must be a solution.

No.2, for this kind of money you will be hard pressed to find a better performing laptop.

Just my two cents, I currently own a 7805 and recently sold a 7811 and I think they are fantastic computers for the money ! I would never consider parting with my 7805 when it refused to run one or two of my games. Find a solution and enjoy a great laptop !

I know...I know... I bought this laptop a week ago. I have been researching and researching, posting in the PR forums and trying their suggestions. But nothing works. No other games interest me. I installed Crysis just for giggles; very nice game. Cod 4 I have played soo much on xbox im fed up with it. I wanted to play a realistic military shooter and thats why I got it. Trust me...I I had those two games running...I would not part with it. Its beautiful....
I keep drooling over the videos of people playing Project Reality online on youtube... :(

ebay is your best bet. When I post stuff like laptops on craigslists I usually only get those nigerian scammers emailing me if my item is still for sell and what my final best price is....haha
