    Hey I have a 6831fx restore disc (home premium 32-bit) disc and i was wondering if i could use it to do a Clean install of vista 64bit on my 7805u?

    As you mentioned, the 6831's came with vista 32-bit only. If you have access to the OS disk from a 6860, then you could choose either 32 or 64-bit. But the 32-bit only 6831 disk will not install or repair a 64-bit installation.

    Press Alt+F10 at Bootup, that should let you go to the Recovery Partition unless you already formatted the hard drive and deleted it.
