Real quick before my posting: Sorry if this has been answered; I looked through the posts for an answer before posting. Lord knows I don't want 10 replies of, "You imbecile! Check the forum before posting!!!" LOL! Haven't got that here at these forums, prefer to keep it that way.

My question is whether or not my Gateway M460 laptop can accept a stick of 512MB RAM coupled with a 1024MB RAM stick for a total of 1536MB RAM. I am almost certain it can, but I'd like to hear definitively from someone that this laptop is indeed compatible with differing RAM capacities of the abovementioned specs. I purchased my laptop on eBay and it hasn't arrived yet, so I cannot use the support at the Gateway website, since they ask for a serial number. Thank you for your time guys!
