    Well,

If I were to acquire another x600 for my laptop, would I be able to install it myself? I'm not new to computers but I've never done any hardware installion in a laptop simply because I haven't needed to. I realize the space is much more limited in a laptop but would I be able to replace it without having to send it in for repair? At this point, I'd rather do it myself then have them hold on to my laptop for 2 weeks and not even fix it.

The real question is can you buy an X700 and upgrade the vid card in this machine. :)

Define 'faulty product'. Are you reluctant to send it in for service because the 'fault' was caused by your actions, say 'overclocking' or 'finger poking'? If it's broke, your only option is to send it in.

lol no. It's been overheating and i'm reluctant to send it in, because I DID. I bought it with Best Buy and shipped it off to have the gfx card fixed to find out they only put a fan on it and kept the same ****ty card. I can't play games for more than 5 minutes without artifacts out the ***. It was not fault of my own, just a ****ty card that needs to be replaced.
