Can anyone tell if this is an FX?

    Here.

It doesn't look like the FX's keyboard and yes I know that the the P-171X FX isn't out yet.

I asked the seller and he said his was a model that had been released earlier and had been recalled for some problems.

Sounds like total bullcrap to me, but I was just curious what you guys thought.

It looks like a P-171X which is out, but that is not the same as the P-171X FX...they are 2 diff laptops.....the 171X has integrated video. The FX series are the laptops with the 8800m GTS cards.

Yeah thats weird doesn't look like one, different mouse pad and buttons, no multimedia keys and the keyboard has different colors. Pretty bad pics like he's hiding something.

The more I look at it, he's def trying to pull a fast one. The specs do not match the pictures.

That's the older 17 inchers from Gateway. The FX's are easy to recognize with the color linings.

It doesn't look like the P171X either, as there isn't a silver lining around the keyboard. I'm pretty sure he's trying to pull a fast one as he's buy it now price has dropped from 1.6k to 1.3k then 1k and now to 1.2k.

Model number given after asking him the direct question: NX860XL

Strikes me as a lazy and mostly unknowledgeable individual looking for the quick sale/$$$ with a sprinkling of dishonesty on the side.. :) First time poster long time reader and owner the latest and greatest Gateway on the market...as of now anyway....lol. Gotta suprise for ya all once I get it intalled and hopefully it works...be posting up some benches later tonight or tomorrow for ya all to see or asking "what the hell do I do now!!"....later all...
