    I have a chance to buy a friends M-6847 real cheap, $350. I was wondering if the M-6867 MB would fit the M-6847 Chassis? The dimensions are the same:

    Gateway M-6847 Garnet Red
    Intel GM965 chipset & Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 384MB of Dynamic Video Memory
    1.1"-1.50" (H) x 14" (W) x 10" (D) or 28-38mm (H) x 356mm (W) x 254mm (D)

    Gateway M-6867 Garnet Red
    Intel PM965 Chipset and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 Graphics with 512MB GDDR3 Dedicated Memory
    1.1"-1.50" (H) x 14" (W) x 10" (D) or 28-38mm (H) x 356mm (W) x 254mm (D)

    This way I could get the better graphic card & hdmi.

    I don't know if I can even get the MB from Gateway or eBay?

    They both use the same chassis, so theoretically...yes. But I dont think you will be able to buy the MB from gateway, maybe ebay. Let us know how it goes.

    You should check your local bestbuy to see if they still have a M-6862 in stock. People have got it for anywhere ranging from 350-600 YMMV. I myself picked it up for 450 out the door.

    I wonder if any of those MB are available now that it has been a couple months. I did buy the notebook and I'll looking to upgrade to get the better gpu.
