    Nope not a chance. We're still limited to 9.5mm drives.

    I tried to fix a friends hard drive once by putting it into my machine (with hopes to reformat it for him) but it was a 10mm or 12mm drive from way back when and it just doesnt fit.

    About the only way it would fit would be if you used some kind of corded conector and ran the drives outside the machine.

    If you really want a 500gig drive why not just get the samsung 500gb laptop drive?
