    Can't Install 270.61 verde drivers on P7805u

    Hi, I have been trying to install the new 270.61 drivers but I have been unsuccessful. The installer will start and run and ask me to restart but after restart the nvidia control panel is still missing and I there are no drivers. I had the some problems with the 270.51 drivers. Yet for some reason the 267.76 drivers will install and work. Is anyone else having this problem? I already reinstalled windows 7 but no dice. Please Help

    Also my p7805u does not have any upgraded hardware. I was using Kravis' bios mod for throttle stop and andros_forever gpu bios mod

    Can someone please help me? Did I ask the qn wrong, if so please tell me to explain. Other than that I'm about to format my os hardrive to see if it fix the issue

    Did you try the driver listed on the Gateway.com site? That is the only one that they support for the P7805u. You may get other drivers to work but they only support the one shown. I know some here have had other drivers work. Check out the threads.

    I've been doing steady updates from the nvidia site since i got the 7805u. And the 9800m gts is listed as updatable using these new drivers, i just don't understand why this drver won't install when all the others for the past 2 years have worked

    I am a little confussed are you using the installer that you have downloaded from nvidia website or are your trying to install though the windows 7 update??

    Also if you go to the device manager are you missing a driver or are you just trying to get the nvidia control panel??

    If you are trying to download from the website try the windows 7 update and if that helps

    I downloaded the drivers from the nvidia site and the installer works fine , shows that everything is installed and asks to restart, when i do so, the drivers are missing in device manager, it is as though nothing was installed. Yet the drivers (267.76) released just before this one, install and work correctly. I will try the windows update. In the device manager, under properties, it shows windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.

    same here with the P79, also 3dmaork06 went up to 14,066.............

    Edit; I meant same here, no issues as posted before me installing 270.61 and 3DMark06 went up to 14,066..........
