I used to be able to OC three different frequencies. The core, mem and shader I think(not sure). But I could really tell the difference in some games. Now I have no option to OC in the nVidia CP. I uninstallled nTune, reinstall and no difference. I also installed an older version which gave me 2 options-core and mem I think.

Is it a reg entry that lets you do it. I don't think so as I remember just installing nTune and it worked. But whe I try to install is says it's removing old stuff. Bout to get on my nerves. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times to no avail. Help?

I would try and uninstal drivers, use driver sweeper though - http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(Setup)_d1655.html - that works well for old driver clean up.

I had the same problem when I installed Win7. I only had installed the Nvidia drivers and the advanced viewer. Go back to Nvidia website and install the nvidia tools. It will have the System monitor, System update, and the Performance programs. The latter is the one you use to OC the GPU and save your profiles. :)

In fact here is the link:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.05.html

I know how frustrating it can be to find stuff on a website. ;) Oh, and when you open the performance screen you will see under the performance heading, a disclaimer or something, I can't remember now, but just accept that and then you will see it reconfigure and a DEVICE SETTINGS menu line will appear. Then you can OC your GPU.

Got it! Uninstalled Performance with Revo. And restarted. Think that was the key. Soon as I try installing after restart, it was fine. Oh well, thanks for all the help and Evil, might try to get that newer version just for the fun of it. Later....

PS-Wish I had that T9900 in your sig. Too much $$$ for me...
