Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything on Google. When my computer is booting up, it says F2 to enter BIOS. When I hit F2, it says "Entering Setup" at the bottom of the screen, then goes to a black screen for a second, and then continues to load Windows. I have tried tapping F2 from the moment it turns on, when it says to hit F2, and every other time I could possibly hit F2, and the BIOS never comes up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Philip Earle.

This is a 7801U.....forgot to mention that, and the BIOS is the original one, it has never been flashed.

If it is a work computer, the administrator can make it so you can't get into bios, and only he can.

If all else fails, you can take out the battery and unplug the power cord, then pull out the cmos battery. Hold down the power button on the computer for for a few seconds (to be sure all the power is out of the entire sytem) Then wait about 10 minutes (just to be extra sure all power is out of the system). Then plug the cmos battery back in, then the battery and power cord.

That will put your Bios back to factory default settings. Hopefully that will fix whatever it is that wasn't letting you into the bios. This won't help if the administrator has you locked out of the bios.
