Can anyone recomend a good car charger for the P-6860fx? There are a few thrid party ones out there on ebay, so I'm unsure of quality or actual compatability.

Thanx, but how do I tell which is compatable with the 6860? or are all the gateway p/s compatable? I noticed many that where mentioned don't say fx on them, they say "cx series"

that brings on a second question. What would you recomend for a secondary AC power supply? Spend the $80 for a gateway original or any good 3rd party ones? I don't want to have to pack up my home charger everytime I take the notebook with me :p thanx again.

I have bought an extra ac adapter on ebay from a broken laptop, I also have used a laptop sine wave power inverter.

I had a 12 volt charger, but it broke. Seemed kinda cheap so I like the inverter ac adapter option better.

I just use a power inverter plugged into the lighter socket. Works wonderful.

Why not just get a Dc to AC inverter? I have like 3 of them and they are cheap as hell. My favorite one has an awesome cooling system and stays ice cold.
