I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in the midwest I was surprised this didnt happen 3 years ago. If my memory serves CC was in town first, but the day best buy showed up was pretty much the deathknell, they stretched it out a long time keeping the stores open but in my hometown EVERY CC is closed within a 50 mile radius. All the ones I've ever been to were never nearly as busy as the nearby best buys would be, one reason I did occasionally go there...

Yep, all Circuit Citys closed here in Georgia already. Kind of sad. I liked it better than Best Buy. It was brighter and more more geared to the customer. Best Buy is loud with all those dumb stereos and dark and seems kind of gimmicky.

Really? I always found circuit city to be darker than best buy in both color tones and the amount of lights used. Unless....you're talking about a different kind of "bright".

Well 34,000 people are out of a job. Reason was due to HP and Samsung that stopped the negotiations from continuing with the potential buyers.
