I am going to be getting a new gateway-p16831fx and dont know if I want to do the clean install just because I dont know much about drivers or how they work and it feels like it may be a hassle. Ugh... not sure, how do I know where to find all my drivers and just the stuf I will need after doing a clean install of vista? I just want whats necessary for my computer so i can start fresh, but I dont know where to start or what to put on a backup disk because i dont know about drivers etc. Can someone help please?

I just last night did a clean install of Windows Vista, I followed the above mentioned steps, and all went smooth, I also installed a 2nd HD and configured them as Raid 0, Besure and make a backup copy of your drivers, you will need the Back up CD for reinstalling all the system drivers.
good luck. -
bad, when you added a 2nd hard drive a set it raid 0, did you need to reinstall everything or does it just move everything so you have one drive?

The Gateway camera software isnt on the list of programs?
