I have a couple of questions about the P-7805u, as I'm comparing it to the Asus G50VT-X1 for what will hopefully end in my first gaming laptop purchase. Are the drivers for 32 bit XP readily available, and are there any major hardware or software problems with the laptop that are fairly common?
I know you guys have a guide for this somewhere, but I guess I'm just kinda dumb 'cause I haven't found it! Unless it's in that giant owner's lounge thread, but since I'm not an owner (yet!) I didn't feel that that would be the correct place to post this.
Lastly, if they are evenly matched across the board for problems and benefits, is it still worth the extra $200 for the larger screen? Laptop size is not an issue for me, and neither is resolution to a degree, though the quality of the screen is very important. I'm currently using a Toshiba with failing back-lights and would prefer paying more for a good quality build than a slightly faster machine that is fragile.
Thanks a lot for your help, and I know that the Asus G50VT X6 is not much more expensive than the the Gateway, but I'm on a church musician's salary, and every dollar saved is one dollar closer to a new iPod!

The Windows XP drivers are the most important part for me. That will probably be the deciding factor. I already know that Asus's are available, but I've still been searching and haven't found a page for Gateway's. Is there a different section I should post this in?
