    Confusing P-7811 FX BIOS upgrade...what version of BIOS is the 94.28 on the Gateway website??

    Trying to make things even more confusing for the user....at what version of the 9C.XX.XX sequence correspond the BIOS ver. 94.28 on the Gateway website??

    GW mention this BIOS as an update for the 7811 FX...but on this forum someone said that is the wrong BIOS for the 7811 and it won't work!!

    On top of my mind I cannot find any "translation" between the Gateway website naming of the BIOS version with the 9C sequence...any help in understanding would be really appreciated!!!

    I did search the forum and I cannot come up with anything.

    At the moment I run the 9C.05,00 BIOS on my 7811 FX and today I should get a new T9900 in the mail :)

    I do not care about RAID at all.....

    Should I keep what I have?? I'm interested only in BIOS version officially supported by Gateway (I'm still under warranty) in their web site.

    Don't listen to them. They should've taken that BIOS off a long time ago.

    The 94.28 BIOS is for the 68xx series.
