I connected my new Samsung T220 to my Gateway 6860FX and I'm unable to get the monitor to work. It says "Check Signal Cable" despite everything I've done.

I've tried a new cable, shutting down the computer and restarting, etc.
The laptop is able to recognize that there's a monitor that's connected, but I can't get past Check Signal Cable. Did I get a bum monitor? I ordered it online so returning it won't be easy.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Nevermind, I completely missed the fact that there's a button on the side of the montior to detect the source.

    <--- idiot.
