    Hey gys,

I was wondering if it is at all possible to control the speed of the fans on p6860 machines with SpeedFan or similar software?

No. The best you can do to control the speeds is to control the CPU speed through rightmark clock utility. Undervolt the CPU and keep it set to performance on demand and you'll get a quieter p6860.
