Haven't found a definitive post on this yet. I figured I'd start a thread until I get redirected!

My question is this: are these things worth a spit? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834988005

Is there a nice noticeable temp difference? Will this pad block airflow from the bottom fans on a P-7801u? Can you refrigerate them? If you can, are your system and the pad in any danger of creating moisture/condensation? How long does it take for the pad to go from hot to cold again? Would it make sense to buy 2 and cycle them? :p

I'd appreciate any insight! The fans are all well and good but some of them can be quite bulky and loud...not to mention they eat your battery! I'm also kind of skeptical about blowing air into a system... :eek2: anyone have experience with these?

Ive never tried one, but I cant imagine the results being that good.

Id recommend going with a regular Notebook Cooler, with fans. ;)

HERE is a review of one like it. The Temp drop was only 4 degrees. Much more than that on other coolers. (Read my Cooler Review in Sig)

Ehh...I'm gonna be taking this thing to class with me (p7801) and I dont want to have to set up a big ol cooling unit on top of an already very large laptop.

I've found good reviews from CNet and stuff like that. Data that appears to show a substantial temp difference...

But it would be very nice to hear from someone within the community!
