Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone have an explanation...

Mu Core 0 temp never changes. It stays at 36c all the time whether idling or workin g hard. But Core 1 temp goes up and down as you would expect.

    Any insights????

My core 0,1 temps do vary, but not nearly as much as the gpu/hdd/others... for the past 2 hours, my core 0 has only varied 3 degrees going up and down(34-37). I don't monitor core 1 because it is always lower than or identical to core 0 .
