Does anyone know if these processors work in the FX laptops? They are Socket P. This one below can be found for $120:

    Core 2 Duo E8335 - SLGEB (E0) (sSpec Number) - 2933 MHz - 6 MB - 1066 MT/s - 11× - 35 W - Socket P

Probably not, if i remember correctly those were the CPU's made for Mac's so i doubt the BIOS of the FX machines would even recognize them.

For $120 it might not be a bad expiriment, but its unlikely to work and would be a pretty hard resale

    I believe it will work.

Lots of people in this forum have used them in their notebooks (non mac).

E8435 SLGEA works fine in my P-7803h, runs quick and cool.

Excellent, maybe it does work then. It would be a great alternative to the t9900 and the x9100 for a decent preformance boost over the stock CPU in most cases

Its odd that they would lock the BIOS down so tightly an yet supply support for Mac CPU's
