Hello Gateway experts, I recently picked up what I believe is a P-171X FX on the cheap, and I've got a couple of questions.

    1) I'm trying to value this machine, and I want to know exactly what model I got. Gateway's support site wants a serial number, but the only thing I can find on the bottom of the machine is something like "model number MG1". Searching for this on Google gets me a bunch of different P-6xxx machines, so how exactly does this naming scheme work?

    2) GPU fan runs constantly when the machine is on. Is that normal?

    3) Kind of going off my first question; my unit didn't come with any hard drive caddies. I can't find any caddies for the P-171X FX on eBay - will the caddy for a P-6301 work?

    1: ...
2: Not normal if it's spinning very fast, check your temps. Fan stops spinning at around 45-50C.
    3: Will work.
