    *dilemma

One or more of my .dll's are corrupted- I cannot install chrome or internet explorer. This is the error I get when installing either:

    This URL Dpx.dll Analysis Report
    says the dpx.dll is a
"Microsoft Delta Package Expander - Dpx.dll is a 32/64-bit Dynamic Linked Library of code components for a graphics UI style application."

It is linked to other .dll's, so it may or may not be that particular DLL. I have replaced the file "expand.exe," but I cannot find a version of dpx.dll on the web that matches the version I have (6.1.7600.16385).
I downloaded a windows disc from a torrent, but I assume that because it was the "Ultimate" version while mine is the "Premium" version, I couldn't "Upgrade" (Which I believe would replace system32 without deleting everything). The "Premium" torrent has few seeds with the download speed ~1kbs.

I have tried dozens of articles that attempted to fix the problem. The time I have spent on this problem is ridiculous, but I want to see this through.

    My questions are:
    1) Can anyone provide me with the Win 7 X64 version of dpx.dll?
    2) Is it possible to copy over someone else's entire Win7 X64 system32 folder and replace mine with it?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Thanks TANWare. As fate would have it, my excessive tinkering with things I don't quite understand has made the notification show up on boot and periodically through the day, rather than only when I try to install IE9 & Chrome. Ahh, life :D
