    Dead P-173X FX, Opinions?

    I just picked up a dead P-173X FX laptop from OCN forum. I tried powering it and i get no lights even with the power brick plugged in. Now something interesting i noticed is that when i plug the power brick into the wall the green light comes turns on on the power brick, but the second i plug it into the laptop the light on the brick goes off. This leads me to believe its the power supply.

    I have no other source of power to test this though.... So i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar or same problem. I could always buy a new power brick, but I would really like to trouble shoot a bit more instead of spend more money.

    any and all suggestions are welcome!

    That was the symptom of my first brick from my P7805 when new. This meant not even the battery got charged so one the lptop battery was dead then that was it for the laptop untill I used the Targus 180w brick...........
