I have been experiencing a problem where the LCD for my Gateway laptop MX3210 keeps going off after some time. The LCD will display for the first few minutes, and then later on it goes off while the rest of the system seems to be on ...the battery lights are on, and you can hear the fan humming underground. I suspected software problem, so I had to load another XP, but the problem is still there. Please help.

Well I am having this problem with my Gateway P-7811FX, except that I can't see anything at all...it has to be a hardware problem...I have to do some tests.
