    Have never asked anone else if 7805u works when connected to charger but with battery removed ?

    Mine doesnn't

    I removed the battery years ago. Works just fine.

    What BIOS have you got? Have you exactly got 7805u ???

    Stock Bios and yes it's a 7805u.

    I think the standard is to remove the battery to extend its life a bit. I know mine works without issue.
