So I just ordered the P-6831FX, so while I'm waiting for it to ship, I just wanted to get a few questions through! To do RAID, do the HDD's have to say that they support RAID, or is it some software thing? Sorry I really don't know that much about RAID! Cause this HDD, is pretty cheap, but I didn't see anywhere where it said RAID. So ya, does it have to be a certain one?

It's in the chipset/bios of the MB. That drive will work great, but keep in mind if you stripe the volume (data is split between both drives) aka RAID 0, it will do twice the size of the smallest drive, and the drive in the 6831 is 250, so you will have 500GB of useable space. This drive would be a better solution, of course it is available online for less.

Alright that makes sense! Thanks! Also, if I was to upgrade the CPU on the laptop to the X9000 can XP handle that?
