That's basically the point I got to, though when I discovered you needed the textmode drivers to get the driver to load before Widows Setup, I was using some from a msdf.com thread.

Unfortunately I still get a BSOD at the same place, however now it is a 7B error and it doesn't list pci.sys (or any other sys file). Even when only using 2G RAM. Maybe a driver problem with the textmode drivers I am using? I'll have to try the drivers you have listed in your guide tomorrow and see if that's the issue...

I did have a slipstream xp home sp3 disk (with SATA drivers I got from Lenovo's website when I had the Ideapad Y710) that I tried using for the 7811 but got a BSOD. So I had to re-do the slipstream with the new F6 Matrix drivers listed in the driver thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=287180

    then it worked.

I am unsure of what part of the ini file to modify in order the get this method to work for my WInXP Pro 64-bit. Only 64-bit drivers audio drivers I found were a Realtek package, and they failed. The files in your downloads tell me I don't have the correct hardware to install them. Could you offer any further advice on moding the INI file for XP-64-bit? Audio is the last hurdle before I'm up and running 100%.

(Also, my hardware ID is the same, so that's fine. Just can't install the two other packages you posted.)

Did anyone of you guys was able to make WinXP Pro SP2 32bit to show the complete 4GB RAM that this P-7811FX has?.....

I was able to install WinXP Pro SP2 32bit but windows can only see "2.99GB RAM" available....., I read some other threads about WinXP 32bit NOT being able to "see" more than 3GB RAM but I thought people on this thread could help me to clarify this issue, so: is it possible for this machine to "see" the 4GB RAM on WinXp Pro 32bit?.....

    Regards
