These appeared as 2 optional updates in my automatic updates. What are they, I assume drivers? My current drivers run fine will I see a benefit? Im thinking of just cancelling them. Thanks

Yeah i would ignore them.
Plus the 9800 Driver would still be an older one instead of the newerones from nVidia's page/Dox/Laptop2Go -

This is your vid card driver. like stated above my post this would be best to download either from nvidia, dox or laptopvideo2go.(the last option being what i would recommend)
-Nvidia - Audio - NVIDIA High Definition Audio
this one will be required if you want audio to output through the hdmi port. to get this driver you can do one of two things.
1. allow win update to install it
2. get the latest notebook video card driver and install it. (from nvidia or you comp manufacturer in this case gateway)
dunno if you already took care of this but i put this up for future reference -
I always got the one from nvidia. They package the latest hdmi and physx drivers in their packages and if you get the laptop driver then you are usually gtg.
