Any laptop with a Geforce 8 series (or equivalent Quadro or ATi) DX10 GPU and Windows Vista installed supports DX10 :)

There is nothing wrong with laptop2go or guru3d drivers. If you stick with gateway drivers, you will not see any updates for a long time, and those updates contain support for newer games and functions.

Well ,the reason I asked is I updated my drivers with the modded laptop2go ones and windows never recognized DX10. So, I went back and downloaded the beta ones from guru3d and DX10 is up and running.
Makes LOTRO look so much nicer now.

They seem stable and fast. Did play LOTRO for 4 hrs in DX10 without a problem.
