    EMachines and Gateway

    I have a Gateway notebook and a Emachines desktop and the micro sdhc card does not work with the internal card reader. I wonder if gateway has a software update for the card reader.

    What model do you have?

    This is the latest driver for the card reader in the 6831/6860/17xx FX.

    older card readers did not support sdhc only sd.

    You could try this or this as 2.0.0.8 is the latest version and I think SDHC support was added in version 2.0.0.7. And make sure you are up to date on Windows Updates as there was a fix pushed out for reading SDHC cards.

    The drivers do not work. I will get the external one. Does anybody no of one that will work that newegg sells.

    I cannot install manually Vista says I have the best driver. All I want to do now is buy a usb card reader on newegg. Can somebody tell me a good card reader to buy.
