Wow, I got a pm today from somebody about what a waste of a post this is. I was told there is no way these are any good let alone hold up.

So, for anyone who is interested. I went and got my good camera and tripod and redid the pictures and added the durability test I performed.

This picture is taken with room lights and notebook on.

Next, picture is no room lights with notebook on. (lcd on high brightness)

As you can see there is a very noticable difference with using the Myglowkeys.

Now for the durability test. I took a quarter and vigorously scratched the numbers on Myglowkeys (F8) and a Regular keyboard (n)for 10 full seconds. Here are the results

    This picture is pre-test.

    This is post-test.

As you can see the Myglowkeys held up perfectly without any damage after the test. The same could not be said for the regular keyboard.

I also noticed something else that was not expected about the Myglowkeys. After using them most of the night I have notice myself wishing the normal white keys were as bright as the myglowkeys are. I might be applying the rest of mine now.

Well, I hope that answers everyones questions.

Amazing :) I love how you try if improve on a really poor excuse for a keyboard and there's always one..

One guy says he does not need to see the keys. Fine, I change games, the F keys change and I go through missed keys under fire, no thanks.

Will all the manufactures who print keys in invisible low light orange please raise their hands? Hello?

Exactly, that's what I thought. Atleast everyone can afford this economical solution to fix any keyboard. I can't tell you how many keyboards that I wore the w,s,d,a and r letters completely off of. Now my original letters are protected.

Do the extra backslash/backspace keys fit the FX keyboard?

I'm beginning to see why people are so annoyed with the keyboard. It's a pain even with the lights on.

PS: are you still looking at the powered keyboard lights, MaxPrime1?

I scanned 1 of 2 identical sheets. The mentioned stickers are smaller than FX keys by about .250" in length. No Large backslash.

    /blushing

i'm not new to forums and should know better than dredge the dead, but otoh, since there was a string within the thread on the subject--not to mention it's top on the google search for back lighting a 7805 keyboard, i sorta made my own convention.

    /wink

i'm currently hunting for a 7805 on ebay--well, like, in two paychecks i'll actually draw a bead.

i'm not a genius at electronics, but i may try to pick up where the original poster left off on the mod.

Hit Fn+F1 to turn off ALL LEDS. Pretty neat feature and not many people know about it. And I'm gonna see if I can find some low volt LED on eBay and hook them up to get back light
