I sent my notebook back for the hinges and the invertor board the beginning of September and received it back and the pcmcia slot did not work with my
DLINK wireless card. I bought a belkin wireless card and that card did not work. I tried the two cards in my compaq notebook and they both worked. I have sent the notebook back to gateway four additional times and they have replaced the motherboard hard drive and maybe other items. I received it back last week and the pcmcia slot still does not work. I talked with Emachines and they promised me a replacement notebook if i sent my notebook back. I did that and have contacted gateway today to see when my replacement notebook would be shipped. They tell me today they will not send me a replacement notebook and are going to send me my notebook back. I am 100% certain that the pcmcia slot will still not work. They promise me a replacement notebook and then go back on their word.
