I usually use a mouse, but often I take my laptop with me to work on something and don't always want to take out my mouse (e.g. lecture hall). Since I disable my touch pad so my wrist won't make it move, I often end up having to take out my mouse to enable the touch pad, which by that time, I just leave my mouse out.

Is there a way to program the keyboard to enable the touchpad using a few keystrokes or something? I know that's one feature Gateway did not include on my notebook.

    I've got the Gateway 7426GX.

    Thanks!

I'd like to know about this two.

You can always disable it in the control panel - just be sure to have the mouse around.... no that wouldn't work.

Hey! Smart guys... need alittle help here.

If I could make a wish... I key shortcut to turn on / off the touchpad, just like the WIFI (with a little light) That would be great.

You could probably use a Macro. But Windows doesn't have a built in Macro Prog anymore, so you'll have to find an external one.
