I purchased an ExpressCard Card Reader (CAC Card) for my 7805fx. After the first one arrived the computer didn't recognize the device. I thought it may be a defective card and returned; since it was packed rather badly. The replacement card isn't recognized either.
I installed the drivers from the company before installing. But nothing. Has anyone else had problems with thier Expresscard slot?
The card reader is the SCR3340 from SCM Microsystems. And I am running Vista x64.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Sounds more like an app problem to me. That's a smart card reader, not some flash memory reader. I would think that you would need the appropriate software to work with the interface.
I have never used a smart card reader, but I use both an CompactFlash Expresscard54 reader and I use an SB X-FI expresscard in my 7805fx and I have had zero issues. I'd suggest picking up a memory card reader for your system and seeing if it works fine. I'm willing to bet it would, and the problem you're having is that the software isn't interfacing with the SC and the reader correctly.
