I recently purchased a Gateway NV7802u laptop to serve as both a laptop and desktop replacement. I have a Dell monitor with 2 USB ports. When I plug the monitor into the laptop, it does not see devices plugged into the monitor's USB ports. Does anyone know how to make that work? (I got shuffled around to 3 support people at Gateway and was finally told I could pay for support of my month-old laptop.)

    thanks,
    Luann

i guess the connection from the laptop has to be to a specific usb port(next to the display out or something) on the monitor.
