Nice score but a 1440x900 would default to 1280x800 and wouldn't give the same score as 1280x1024 that a 1900x1200 would default to...............

Yeah i'm curious about the 2261 speed of the CPU as well. Did they change the 7808 so its useable with setFSB or something?

I mean it could be photoshop, but the 3dmark score looks like it should with the stock system.

As I stated, it's set to IDA mode default with RMClock when plugged in. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=168387 It basically steps up the multiplier when the performance is needed. In this case, from 7.5x to 8.5x, a sort of built in overclock curtosy of Intel.

The resolution is 1440x900, but I should run a few benchmarks @ 1280x1024 on my external.

The graphics card oc'ing on this laptop is quirky to say the least.

I have yet to install games and benchmark them. I'll do that tuesday afternoon after my Stat AP exam.

That's good know-- perhaps we don't have to get the q9100 to get above the dreaded "it's only 2 ghz" syndrome.

BTW, in case anyone is interested--

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Intel-Core-QUAD...2|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50

It's a q9000. I believe it might be OEM or retail, and the seller is willing to ship FREE via Fedex.

    pmassey, are you there?

Ah... didnt know ida was enabled on these laptops so i basically ignored it in your post (after looking at the hardware i didnt notice ida)

At least that explains why it got an odd CPU reading.

Cool, seems like a solid machine (wish it had the 1920x1200 screen though)

Cant wait to see the full review

    The q9000 (P7350 -- http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_2/Intel-Core 2 Duo Mobile P7350 AW80577SH0413M.html -- P-7808u Model has 6mb L2 cache) still only has half the cache of the q9100 ( http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_2/Intel-Core 2 Quad Mobile Q9100 AW80581GH051003.html), and the q9100 in IDA mode runs @ 2.53ghz. But the q9000 is only 25watts, whereas the q9100 is 45watts.

Sure, I might do that now.

Yes, oh baby. The most appropriate image file name after getting this 11k 3DMark06 score.

No The ICS 365/355 pll's didn't work, no restart or crash, no change in fsb.
Still trying other programs but no cigar so far.
