So, I finaly broke down and bought a standard computer desk. The only down side is, I no longer have slots in it for the cooling fan design I was using based upon my server rack. So, my current design would involve trying to find a way to plug in the fans to an standard power outlet. Now, this is something that I am not sure about doing so I am bringing it to the masses. If I am correct, I can just wire in a few to an extra power cable and be good to go. Otherwise Would I have to go the route of getting and ac-dc converter and wiring them that way? I am thinking 4x120mm fans put under the desktop between the bottom of that and the top of the keyboard pull out. Idea #2 is just getting a couple small house fans and wiggling them in. I prefer the first idea so I still have use of the desktop. And, Yes, I am sure I could get an laptop cooler, But, With my children that just adds to what needs to be put away.

    Thanks guys.

What are you trying to cool? A laptop? I'm thinking wiring up extra fans might be overkill. My solution was to undervolt and use bottle caps. Temps are plenty good enough for me that way, even when 3D gaming.
