I just bought a Gateway t-6836 and I love it, it is super fast and powerful. My only complaint is the fan runs a lot on the laptop, which is kinda aggravating, is there anyway I could change the settings to not make it run as much.

    Thanks for the help.

Well, the 5750 tends to get a bit warm and if the cooling vents are blocked that could exacerbate the problem. Are you using the laptop on your lap, or otherwise blocking the cooling vents? If, so, then the fans have to run to cool the laptop down. If you're using the laptop on a desk try lifting the back up slightly to allow for better airflow. You generally don't wanna go messing with the fans, they are doing what they need to do to keep everything from melting down.
