Hey all, just wanted to say thank you for the past couple months of love an' crapNo, but really.. I'm boxin it up and sending it out. And, I figured before I do so.. I'd run 3dmark one time just to see what the stock CPU pulls on 3dMark06. Well, I don't have HWMonitor installed so I dunno temps. But here's a quick screen shot of the run. I'm sure y'all will get higher, but for the only run I've done with the P8400 in 2 1/2 months..it's not too shabby

Hey E, you gotta tell me what those clocks are
-
e-wrecked, mind sharing with us what are your configurations before you send it out. your score is wicked sick.
-
-
Already boxed up.. Nvidia control panel, manage your settings for video adapter. Make sure 'single display performance mode' is selected. Also, set it from quality, to performance. Not high performance. The other settings can be tweaked, but these two are most important.
I think the clocks I ran were 713/1003/1848. Shader may have been a bit higher, but I don't think so. I ran a 2nd run and bumper the clocks but the score dropped. And don't forget Xfastest 177.85
Syn; hope they let iPhones post here1299+shipping. The guy is a gamer so I offered to leave all the new drivers and such installed. He was happy with that
I'm taking it to the post office now.
-
So why did you sell it? (I am sure you said somewhere on the forums but I didn't see)
-
-
Owch! I just built a system there and it was 2982.75. I will stick with my 1200 gateway ^^ Still if you want to spend the cash it looks awful nice!
-
Nice...I reached 9525 with the Xfastest driver and 9422 on the 178.15 driver. I'll tinker it to reach 9600 after my midterms, ack.

I wonder if that full size backlit keyboard on 840 would work with these 7811's?
-
fiz, you gotta update your ntune install. download 6.03 here http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-System-Tools-6.03-download-2100.html
then your BSOD will be no more. -
thanks E... i've just bookmarked this page... 5 more days to go...
-
BTW you got 4GB Robson turbo memory. Where did you get it and did it help (or maybe what did it help?) I only found one place with 4GB. Both Anandtech and Tom's Hardware didn't find much exciting about the 1GB when they reviewed it in 2007.
EDIT: And someone +rep E-W for the ntune link. I have to find a reason to rep some of you other guys B4 I can rep him again. -
BOOOOOOO!!!!!! traitor lol. jk hope you enjoy your new purchase. dont forget to post some numbers whe you get it.
-
on a side note.. my zv6131us is up and running. Man.. I never realied how friggin slow this thing is. I guess it wasn't slow 3.5 years ago. Heck, it had a 100GB HDD when I got it! And AMD Athlon 3200+! Anyhow, the screen hinges are shot..and I'm using my targus notebook stand to support the screen so it doesn't flop down backwards and snap right off. I feel gehehehtto. <G> 3dmark would prolly take half an hour, otherwise I'd post some scores and try to compete with the 7811. Anyhow.. I'll be 'round.

this is pissing me off.
i overclocked my video card to 720/1005/1860 and i only got 9270 as my highest score, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!? -
-
-
I don't remember exactly what E said ages ago but he talked me into reducing one of the setting and my rates went up. One of the setting if set too high actually work against you.
Sorry, I don't video OC enough to be very helpful. -
-
his OC is low. maybe you're missing out on something? Not sure ma'an..but all cards are a lil bit different. Try jacking your GPU to 1900, and leave the rest the same as you got now..see what happens. It won't artifact til you hit 1940+..and if your memory clock isnt too high(and 1000 shouldnt be), then you'll likely be able to run 3dmark without any issues. Hell, maybe it was 1948. You gotta try these things on your own. No 2 cards work the same, and just cause it worked for me doesnt mean it will for you. Experiment, safely. That's one of the things about OC'ing..you're doing it for the experience..for the chase to exceed expectations.. or just to have better game play. Well, in this case.. it's for a score only. That's on you bro. Love ya man, but those clocks in his sig are good for gaming.. and the clocks I used to 3dmark aren't stable for gaming anyhow. But, play around and see what happens.. it took me 3 weeks to find good clocks, and 20+ drivers.. it's not a gimme, by any means.
-
yeah see, i want my clocks for gaming, 3dmark doesnt mean anything to me, i just want to run stable in games
-
E-wrecked is right, no two gpu or cpu are exactly the same. Every single one has its own tweaks and kinks. My Q6600 that I OC to 3.6ghz was running at 8 multiplier instead of the common 9 and my temps were a lot lower than most people because my clock was stable even at a very low voltage. For my GPU on the 7811, I realize that I can't used E-wrecked's old clock (I forgot which one) as it is unstable.
-
how low did you underclock your cpu? (p8400)
Final 3DMark06 Benchmark before boxing it up
