My screen has begun to flicker. Not off and on, but dim and brighter--as if it were toggling very, very rapidly between the screen lighting that is automatic when you turn on the laptop, and the lighting level you have if you enhance it by pressing Ctrl-F8.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it. It is AWFULLY ANNOYING!!!

    Thanks,
    Notgnostic

Watch to see if your AC LED flickers as well. If it does, there may be something wrong with you AC jack or cord.
