I was one of the lucky ones to get the WUXGA screen on my p-7805u. However the laptop is now entirely used as a desktop computer to power an external monitor, which makes the WUXGA useless (it has been sitting on a shelf for over a year and I'm moving). You can have it for free if you are willing to pick it up from Kane County, IL. It will come with the entire display assembly including the housing and hinges. If there aren't any takers I'll throw it away. I don't want too much back and forth correspondence, but I would like for someone else to enjoy it rather than throwing it away.

Might make it into an external monitor as well; diy laptop lcd -> monitor. Actually, that's exactly what an external monitor is; the same lcd as you'd find in a laptop, only with an adapter board. Would have to know the exact model panel, to be certain, but this adapter seems to tick of all the right boxes.
