    go to section Software and OS....there's a page that lists all the good free software that you might be using including a link that links to the free antivirus programs....if you want free software that is not free like nod32....you got to find it yourself

    NOD32 is definitely not free. Avira is and I have found it works just as well, if not better than NOD32. Which is saying a LOT, as I used to swear by NOD32.

    avira antivir is by far one of the best around (including payed software).

    http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2008_05.php

    the only thing you need to disable a pop up about "paying and upgrading"
    which is quite easily done :
    vista users :

    1. Go to C:\Program Files\(Avira)\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avnotify.exe
    2. Right-click avnotify.exe-> properties-> security->
    3. Under the group or username SYSTEM click edit
    4. Put a checkmark under the DENY column for "read and execute"

    done

    xp pro users:

    1. Start - Run - Type "secpol.msc"
    2. Click on Software Restriction Policy - go to Action (at the top) - Create New Restriction Policies
    3. Right-click on Additional Rules (on the right) - Choose New Path Rule
    4. Now click Browse and find the "avnotify.exe" file (C:\Program File\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\)
    5. Make sure the security level is set to "Disallowed" and click OK.

    Done. What you have done is disallowed the execution of "avnotify.exe", which should suppress the popup window.
