Ok, so I wanted to do a fresh Vista install, and I did make a drivers CD. The problem is that when Vista was done installing, for some odd reason, the Drivers CD was blank...

Now my question is, How do I go about having a freshly installed Vista and where would I get the drivers from, since for some reason the CD was not made??

Your Windows CD probably had some basic drivers on it, so you should be able to make an Internet connection some way, and you can either open Device Manager and chose the Update Driver option for your devices.

Or, you could download them from the Gateway website (I assume they have them on there).

Your nVidia driver you can get from laptopvideo2go.com....

    Hope you get it working!

Save the file called window.old, its a option to save this file before the clean Vista install. After the install find the file and it has everything you need.

Is there a driver to enable the volume indicator? The - and + lights up when I touch it but the bars in between don't seem to work.

are you sure its burning properly. I was unable to make a CD of drivers so I eventually gave up. I kept on getting a message during the burning process that it failed.

Well actually, when I burned the Drivers Disk, I did it correctly. The end screen says it was finished burning......but when I try to install them back on...they are gone.

I just made another copy myself of the apps & drivers DVD. when the burning if finished I checked the disk and it said that it's empty and asks if I want to prepare it for use. I opened the try, closed it, and then the autorun came on and it was willing to reinstall the system for me.

i.e. - did you pop the disk out and put it back in? still empty?
