    Fresh install on 7811, now media buttons dont work...

    ok, i wiped out my FX, installed vista ultimate and now the orange media buttons arent associated with anything... does anyone know how to get these working again?

    I to have the same problem, but i haven't personally bothered to find a fix...mostly for I dont use quick launch keys.

    There's another thread here that helped me find the right installer on Gateway's web site; it's like HotStart.exe or something, I can't remember, and I don't remember the thread. It's a Vista32 program that adds the proper entries to your Registry, but you have to follow the directions precisely. Once the keys are enabled you can use the steps in the thread above to edit them to link to whatever programs you wish; I have iTunes and Cyberlink Power2Go on mine.
