hey guys i have a 7811 since its 1st release in 2008, just wondering if i want to upgrade the cpu, what quad mobile cpu's are compatible with fx7811?

No quad core CPU will work. T9900 and X9100 are the fastest CPUs you can use.

And even then, go with whatever is cheaper, and don't get an Engineering Sample X9100. If you buy from eBay, make sure it's from a highly rated seller and he specifically states it isn't an ES chip and in the case he's lying, that he has a return policy.
There's no reason *not* to get an ES chip, as it'll work, but ES chips are generally of a Beta revision and might not be the best examples (the least of which being potentially flaky voltage issues).
Furthermore, it's not like your BIOS (until the kinks get worked out of the user-modded one) can manipulate an unlocked CPU anyway, and the cooling assembly was likely engineered with a specific thermal envelope in mind, so even if they do get it working, don't expect miracles.
Only other advice I can give is if you can afford it, do it now - these chips are no longer being made, are most definitely End Of Life, and will likely only start going up in price, with "bargains" possibly only to be had from system pull sales, which can be iffy depending on how well the computer containing them were maintained. -
so not even this quad is compatible

Nope not even that one.
You can put it in the machine (as the sockets are the same) but your computer wont post and nothing works. Its something either hard locked that we have never been able to find, or the BIOS never included Quad Support and theirs no way to really add it. Or its a combination of the two because things like the 7808 did have quad support.
In any case, you cannot use a quad core in the 7811. The p9700, t9900 and the x9100 will be your top end CPU's and will still do plenty well for you in 95% of anything you do -
Thanks Kamin just want to see my option to either upgrade or sell the lappy and get the asus g73.

If you can sell your 7811 fx for a good price the g73 is a very good upgrade. My 6860 fx is being replaced with the g73 some time next week.
