OK... everything is perfect except the one spot of my screen, I should say one pixel is red when everything else in the background is black. Oh m g. SO pissed.

Does anybody know how to fix?

You can google "dead pixel fix" and there are a few apps out there. Sometimes they work. Personally I've never had success with them.

found it, save that to your desktop or wherever, open it in IE or whatever program views .gif's on your computer, and then put the picture overtop of the dead pixel and let it run overnight

The thing is that the local bestbuy around me doesn't have this on stock. I'm pretty sure this won't be getting on stock any soon. It makes me so sad and mad at the same time. It's just that pixel screws up everything. everything else is perfect with no pproblems

depends how much it bothers you. i drove 2 hours away to exchange mine. if it really bothers you call the manager and explain to him your situation. hopefully he can have a new one transfered from anothe store or he will let you return it...check the online stock first. it appears that you were very unlucky thats all.

Mista, TBH, it's up to you what you should do. Some people really want the laptop, that they'll do anything to get one that works. While others give up. For me, it was easy since BB was only 10 minutes away and probably had at least 15 in stock. For you though, it seems it's a bit more difficult. You're call to be honest. If it frustrates you that much, then don't put yourself through the misery. It's kind of like a long term relationship with your significant other :p

lol. I do want to. but I don't have a transporation by my own. I rely on my parents. They are not going to be happy to visit Bestbuy agian... I guess I'll have to talk to my friend, but the thing is. What if I get a worst one? lol I just hope not. Some of these laptop's dvd drive makes weird noises upon booting. It's not bios related. this one that I have doesn't have that problem. I can only hope my next one would be like this but ...

Next time you go, have the Geek Squad open it up and turn it on and inspect the laptop right in front of them! ;)

It's quite disappointing, but my opinion is that it's worth the trouble.

The stuck pixel tricks are worth a try; they don't work for dead pixels.
